The Association "FRIENDS OF THE ZITHER" is a small association with a wide resonance. It works towards promoting the chord zither in 26 countries counting 670 members.

Its principal activity is the publication of the quarterly revue of information and formation for zitherists. Then there are the publications of scores and documents, furnishing accessories, and various services for zitherists.

The Association acts also as a representative institution from point of view of stringed-instrument makers, composers, teachers, as well as cultural or religious organizations in the valorization of the zither. With this in mind, it organizes occasionally Congresses.

Each year at the General Assembly, the Association encounters zitherists from a another region. This long weekend of music, allows zitherists to discover other aspects of the culture such as visiting luthiers, discovering instruments, conferences, expositions...
